Our sources: the official sources behind this site
Every figure on this site points to a source. This list comes straight from our figures register: for each institution you see what we take from it, when we review it, when we last checked it and how many figures on the site rely on it.
7,023 figures from 782 source pages of 23 official institutions, last checked on .
Public authorities and the legal texts themselves. A legal amount, percentage or deadline only appears on this site with such a source.
FPS Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue
4,178 figures
Minimum wages and pay scales per joint committee from the minimum wage database, filed collective agreements from the agreements database, notice periods, the rules on working time, suspension and public holidays, and the amounts of administrative fines.
Contributions and contribution reductions from the administrative instructions, the rules for flexi-jobs, students, meal vouchers and the work bonus, Dimona and the Limosa declaration, and the figures in the annual report.
The legal texts themselves, consolidated: the Employment Contracts Act, the Social Criminal Code and the implementing decrees. The Official Gazette also publishes the list of recognised social secretariats.
The rules and key formula for withholding tax, the benefit in kind of a company car, flat-rate professional expenses, tax rates and the registered cash register system.
The cross-industry collective agreements: the guaranteed average minimum monthly income, the reasons for dismissal, eco-vouchers and the cycling allowance.
Each for a specific topic: driving and rest times, the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, the Immigration Office fee, the social intelligence service, the nature of the employment relationship, decisions on personal data, the federal portal and a city archive.
Some data does not come from a public authority: from a sector fund, a trade union or employers' organisation, another company or a route planner. These are in the register too, with name, link and date.
Sector funds and sector bodies
325 figures
The end-of-year bonuses, sector benefits, contributions and supplementary pensions a fund pays out or collects itself, per joint committee.
The sector agreements, pay tables and sector calendars they publish, sometimes before the official text exists. Once it does, the official text prevails.

Open route planners
39 figures
Distances and travel times to our office on the regional pages, by road, on foot and by train.
The register also holds 18 worked examples. They do not rely on an external source: we recalculate them.
57 figures come from other sources, each with name and link on the page itself.
The official source prevails
If our presentation differs from the source, the source applies: the text in the Belgian Official Gazette, the collective agreement as filed with FPS Employment, the NSSO instructions and the publications of the other competent institutions.
An indexation, a new collective agreement or a change in the law can appear in the source after we checked a page. Until we update the page, it shows the previous situation. That is why every page shows the date of the last check.
