Het jaarlijks bedrag van de haard/standplaatstoelage wordt als volgt vastgelegd :
Jaarlonen die limiet A niet overschrijden : haard-/standplaatstoelage A.
Jaarlonen die limiet A overschrijden, maar limiet B
niet overschrijden : Haard/standplaatstoelage B.
Het loon van de werknemer waarvan het jaarloon limiet A overscrijdt mag niet minder zijn dan deze die hij zou hebben ontvangen als zijn jaarloon op dat moment gelijk was. In voorkomend geval zal hem het verschil toegekend worden onder de van een gedeeltelijke haard-/standplaatstoelage.
Het loon van de werknemer waarvan het jaarloon limiet B overschrijdt mag niet minder zijn dan deze die hij zou hebben ontvangen zijn jaarloon op dat moment gelijk was. In voorkomend geval zal hem het verschil toegekend worden onder de vorm van een gedeeltelijke haard/standplaatstoelage.
Onder loon wordt verstaan, het loon, vermeerderd met de volledige of gedeeltelijke haardtoelage of met de volledige of gedeeltelijke standplaatstoelage, verminderd met de inhouding voor de samenstelling van het overlevingspensioen (cf. de inhouding voor het overheidspersoneel).
