The JC 335 indexation in January 2027 falls on 1 January 2027 and affects two things. The sector minimum monthly wage rises automatically with the index for the first time. And in companies without their own indexation system, the fixed monthly wage rises, but only up to a full-time amount of € 3,750. Both follow the average of the smoothed health index of November and December 2026 against the same months of 2025. The percentage is only known once Statbel publishes the December index on 23 December 2026.
The percentage of the JC 335 indexation in January 2027
Until then there is no official percentage. Do not count on the database following quickly: the JC 335 page only received its last edit after the January 2026 index on 30 April 2026. The collective agreement itself was only concluded on 14 January 2026, with retroactive effect.
Federal Planning Bureau forecast. In its inflation forecasts of 6 October 2026 the Planning Bureau estimates the smoothed health index at 102.35 points in November 2026 and 102.92 points in December 2026. That is an estimate of the index, not a percentage for JC 335. The Planning Bureau does not calculate a sector percentage, and neither do we: the percentage only follows from Statbel's final figures. The next forecasts are published on 3 November 2026.
How does the JC 335 indexation work?
JC 335 is the joint committee for services to and support of businesses and the self-employed. The FPS database calls it "Social organisations". Unlike in most committees, there is no general indexation of all wages. There are two rules.
1. The sector minimum monthly wage. The collective agreement of 15 June 2026 (no. 200707/CO/335) sets a sector minimum monthly wage and links it to the index for an indefinite period. Every year on 1 January it rises with this calculation, for the first time on 1 January 2027:
- Take the average of the smoothed health index of November and December of the past year.
- Divide it by the same average of a year earlier.
2. The supplementary scheme for fixed pay. If your company does not apply a wage indexation scheme of its own, the collective agreement of 14 January 2026 applies. It adjusts the fixed monthly wage on 1 January 2026 and on 1 January 2027 with the same formula, but only up to a full-time monthly wage of € 3,750. The part of the wage above that does not rise. If your company does have its own indexation system, you follow that and this rule does not apply.
Offsetting is allowed. Pay rises and other benefits you granted in 2025 and 2026 may be offset against these adjustments. Rises based on seniority or experience do not count. The collective agreement counts a benefit at its total cost: the gross amount plus the employer contributions.
After that. The supplementary scheme ceases to apply on 1 January 2027. The January 2027 step is therefore the last one it governs. The minimum monthly wage does continue to rise every year on 1 January. The collective agreements set no rounding.
JC 335 indexation history since 2024
The FPS database only lists an indexation on 1 January for JC 335 since 2024. For 2024 and 2025 this concerns the supplementary scheme of that time, with a ceiling of € 3,500 in 2024 and € 3,625.30 in 2025:
| Indexation on | Percentage |
|---|---|
| 1 January 2026 | 2.21% |
| 1 January 2025 | 3.58% |
| 1 January 2024 | 1.48% |
On the JC 335 history page, 2024 only shows the word indexation. You read the percentage on the database page as it applied on 1 January 2024. In January 2026 the percentage was 2.21%, and the ceiling of the new scheme € 3,750.
What is already fixed for January 2027, and what is not?
What is already fixed:
- The date: 1 January 2027.
- The formula: November and December 2026 against November and December 2025, on the smoothed health index.
- What rises: the sector minimum monthly wage, and in companies without their own indexation system the fixed monthly wage up to € 3,750.
- The end of the supplementary scheme on 1 January 2027.
What is not fixed yet:
- The percentage. It follows from the December 2026 index, published on 23 December 2026.
- The new amount of the sector minimum monthly wage.
- Whether a new supplementary scheme for fixed pay follows after 2026. That is for the joint committee to decide.
The cents index in the JC 335 indexation of January 2027
January 2027 is the first indexation in JC 335 since the cents index started on 1 June 2026. In the JC 335 supplementary scheme it matters little, because that scheme already only indexes fixed pay up to € 3,750. In companies with their own indexation system it can matter. For a full-time reference wage above € 4,000 gross a month, the first 2% of indexation only counts on € 4,000. Anyone earning € 4,000 or less gets the full index.
- If the percentage is 2% or more, someone with a reference wage of € 4,500 gets € 80 (4,000 x 2%) on that first 2% instead of € 90. The part of the index above 2% applies to the full wage again.
- If the percentage is below 2%, the whole January index only applies to € 4,000, and the moderation continues until the indexations together reach 2%.
Meanwhile you pay a special wage moderation contribution to the NSSO. How to calculate it, with a full example, is in our piece on the cents index.
Worked example: the ceiling of the supplementary scheme
A full-time employee in a company without its own indexation system earns € 4,200 fixed a month. The supplementary rule only indexes € 3,750 of that wage. In January 2026, at 2.21%, that gave: 3,750 x 2.21% = € 82.88 extra, not 4,200 x 2.21% = € 92.82. A colleague earning € 3,000 got the percentage on his whole fixed wage: 3,000 x 2.21% = € 66.30. In January 2027 you calculate the same way with the new percentage.
Where do you find the percentage for January 2027?
You find the percentage and the new amounts in these places:
- Statbel publishes the December 2026 index figure on 23 December 2026. With it, the formula of the collective agreement can be filled in completely.
- FPS Employment puts the percentage and the new amounts in the minimum wage database. The JC 335 page was only last edited after the 2026 index on 30 April 2026.
You then also see the new pay scales on our page with the JC 335 pay scale. What a pay rise yields net for your employee is in our guide gross to net. How the 2026 index turned out per sector is in our news on wage indexation in 2026.
What Business Centrum does for you
Business Centrum applies the January 2027 indexation in JC 335 in your payroll administration, together with Acerta, with the percentage that follows from the collective agreement. We first check whether your company has its own indexation system, then apply the sector rule or your own rule, take the ceiling and what you may offset into account, and calculate the cents index per employee. All committees that index in January, with their formula, are in our overview of the January 2027 indexation.
